Since I have been unwell the garden took a very good life of its own which I am very happy about. What my partner call 'Weeds', I call plants. When do you decide that a plant is a weed and that a weed is a plant and with what right do you do so? For me a plant is a plant and not a weed.
So we did have a little plant/weed human/eco/green right to live contest at home. To give you a little taste of the conversation briefly and in a very resumed way here is the dialogue in essence:
My partner: -The weeds are hidding my view of the pond.
Me thinking you could have delt with it while I was in hospital and mobility challanged if you don't like them. So I answered:
-Weeds are Plants beside that they attract bees and bumblebees and other creatures in the garden. So lets nature be nature.
Other thoughts on my mind, don't break your back my man in killing good vegetation which is good for wild life. I had my British man pouting responding:
-They are weeds...
Not drawing a parallel with Brexit I corrected again:
-No, they are plants. Find a solution to attract bees to our garden then.
Disgruntle noises from my man, nothing comes apart:
-Lets cut it all back down to the ground.
I am smiling and just asked:
-What is your plan for the garden then after cut it all down?
Plan equals zero plan from him apart from 'something, anything.'
Scratching my head thinking of all the wild life we feed I came about with the let's get Sunflowers for the birds, Rapeseed and Nasturtium for the bees, an hazelnut tree for the squirrels and some Camellia bushes to do some Tea from scratch...
I had a concession. The Sunflower seeds did arrive. Plenty called Total Eclipse, Dark flowers and lime coloured flowers together, some big giant yellow ones are next. The rest is coming soon, on its way, like after Brexit it takes a while to reach your home.
It will be a pretty garden at the end of the day, as long as I live I will make sure of it for unity to remain within our lives.
