A green space for Watford General Hospital for Patients and Medical Staff
Cordelia Malthere started this petition to Watford General Hospital.
It will impact the community. First a green area, space within the Watford General Hospital grounds will improve the spirits of patients, but also the NHS medical staff who work long hours and have very little time from having breaks, lunch breaks. They do end up eating sandwiches near the parking lot, most of the time under the rain, by sliding doors with patients coming in and out. They are overworked and underpaid. Our NHS staff work long hours for very little pay often time receiving abuse from patients. I personally want to give something back to these guys because I have needed urgent personal care on multiple occasions. These guys are close to breaking point and all I want to do is give a little something back to them with your help; Benches with shelters and greenery, somewhere of respite for them to be away from the madness they have to deal with day in and out. A catch their breath back to carry on stronger. Because as they care for us we should care for them. An Area of peace for their breaks, to seat and eat is not much to hope for. Plants would even hide the carpark they watch to eat.
